7 Days / 6 Nights Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

1Day 1: Arrival & Lake Manyara.

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by one of our driver guide pick up and depart to Lake Manyara national park. The park's coverage is 127 square miles (329 km2), the lake's alkaline waters cover approximately 89 square miles (231 km2). While most known for baboons, the lake and its environment is also home to herbivores such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and giraffes. Giant fig trees and mahogany seen in the groundwater forest immediately around the park gates draw nourishment from the underground springs replenished continuously from crater highlands directly above the Manyara basin. The park also is very famous for its tree climbing lion.

2Day 2: Serengeti National Park.

Early Morning after breakfast departs to Serengeti with Packed lunch via Ngorongoro. Serengeti is the Oldest and most popular national park for its annual migration for wildebeest, Zebra and Thomson gazelle join the trek for fresh grazing. Among the animals are found in Serengeti: - (buffalo, giraffe, eland, topi, kongoni, impala, grant gazelle, lion, cheetah, leopard, African Jackal).

3Day 3 & 4: Serengeti full day

You will spend 2 full days game viewing in central and northern Serengeti with packed lunch.. Serengeti National Park is widely regarded as the best wildlife reserve in Africa due to its density of predators and prey.

4Day 5: Serengeti - Olduvai Gorge & Maasai Boma

After breakfast, you will bid adieu to the Serengeti and begin the long drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. En route, you will stop by and have lunch at Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site made famous by Louis & Mary Leakey when they uncovered the remains of Zinjathropus, an early hominid species that roamed the planet some 2.7 million years ago. After lunch, you will pass to Maasai Boma where you will learn different customs and traditions of Masai that still run through their culture.

5Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will descend into the famed Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife viewing. A large caldera, the crater formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago. It is 610 m (2,000 ft) deep and its floor covers 260 km2 (100 sq mi). Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from fifteen to nineteen thousand feet (4500 to 5800 meters) high. The crater has some of the highest densities of wildlife on the planet and includes lion, elephants, zebras, rhino, leopard, buffalo, gazelle, wildebeest, hippos and different species of birds. As a UN World Heritage Site, Ngorongoro will thrill you!

6Day 7: Final Day on Safari & Your Departure

Enjoy one final morning of viewing wildlife and the stunning African landscapes as you make your way out of Ngorongoro and return to Arusha town. You will have lunch at a tranquil hideaway of the Shanga Shangaa arts center, where handicapped artisans make extraordinary jewellery and glassware. They also serve a delicious meal! From there, you will have an opportunity to visit the Cultural Heritage Centre, which has much more than souvenirs for sale, as you can even peruse their art gallery or their Tanzanite (a stone more precious than diamonds!) display. Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
